Degree Requirements

To earn the Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) in Construction Technology, students must meet the following academic requirements:

Complete a minimum of 120 total applicable credit hours
Earn at least 60 credit hours at an accredited four-year institution
Complete 30 hours of upper-level (3000–4000) coursework at Mississippi State University
Complete the final 30 credit hours at Mississippi State University
Transfer up to 60 credit hours from an accredited community college
- A maximum of 45 hours of technical credit may apply toward the degree

All students entering Mississippi State University must complete the General Education Core Curriculum as established by the Board of Trustees, Institutions of Higher Learning of the State of Mississippi, to qualify for a bachelor’s degree.

Curriculum

Transfer Credit

Students may transfer up to 60 credit hours from an accredited community college toward the Bachelor of Applied Science in Construction Technology.

A maximum of 45 hours of technical credit may be applied toward the degree.
A minimum 2.0 overall GPA is required at the time of admission.

Upon admission, the Office of the Registrar will evaluate prior coursework to determine how credits transfer to Mississippi State University.
