We want to welcome you to our second Instructional Design and Dine!

Instructional Design and Dine in Coskrey Auditorium on Febuary 14th. Doors open at 11:30am and lunch is provided.

The panel will take place on February 14th at Coskrey Auditorium in Memorial Hall, 11:30 AM-1:00 PM with lunch provided. This event is a forum for attendees to listen and learn from MSU faculty panelists about how they put their hearts into online teaching.

Our panelists include:

Dr. Emily Marett

Dr. Marrett has served as an instructor in management at Mississippi State University for the past 14 years. She serves as the course coordinator for MGT 3213: Organizational Communication and is the lead instructor and program coordinator of the College of Business’s adoption of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) Center for Public Trust’s Ethical Leadership Certificate Program for all undergraduate business majors.

Tiffney Atterberry

Mrs. Atterberry is an instructor with the College of Education in Curriculum, Instructions, and Special Education. She has been an educator for a total of 15 years with 9 of those years spent in K-6 public education and the other 6 years spent at MSU teaching the Science Methodology course to Pre-Service Teachers majoring in the Elementary Education program.

Dr. Julie Parker

Dr. Parker is an associate professor in Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) and a Certified Child Life Specialist. She currently serves as the HDFS program leader for the undergraduate program and the Master of Science Early Intervention (MSEI) Graduate Coordinator. Dr. Parker has developed and implemented individual courses, graduate programs, and outreach in-service trainings all using online platforms.

Bob Swanson

Mr. Swanson teaches physical science and descriptive astronomy, both in-person and online, as an instructor for MSU’s Department of Physics and Astronomy. A former Mississippi Virtual Community College (MSVCC) Instructor of the Year (2017), he strongly believes in leveraging resources such as video, simulations, and third-party platforms (Nearpod) to make online courses as rigorous and engaging as the traditional in-person learning environment.
